Software Installation and Advanced Software Installation for Communication Manager Messaging

About this task

On the Communication Manager Messgaing Web page, there is a link to download and update the required software for the messaging system. The downloads include RFUs, Announcements and so on.

To install software for the messaging system:

Procedure

Under Software Management, you have two options:
Software Installation, Advanced Software Installation. The system displays a page where you can provide a path over the LAN to install software for the messaging system.
Click Continue.
Confirm the path over LAN and click Continue.
You may be prompted to backup before the upgrade process. The system displays the status of installation. It lists any new software that was installed.

Result

Note

Advanced Software Installation link under Software Management allows download and installation of multiple files.

Additional software packages, primarily additional announcement sets, may be installed from a CD inserted into your laptop or from technical support websites.

Most software installations require the voice system to stop. Plan to do the installation during low usage hours.
